A Senior SQL Server DBA with Windows Server 2003/2008 Administration skills is needed to join a team responsible for design,development and maintenance of analytical data marts and business intelligence applications.
The position grants the entrance in the hot growing market of health informatics, working on projects for global clients within the pharmaceutical, health care delivery or industries. To qualify, you must have worked with Data Warehouse Servers and very large SQL Server databases (>1 TB). An university degree in information technology is also required and provable experience with SQL Server 2005/08 and Windows 2003/2008 32 and 64 bi platforms. Being eager to learn new technologies and advanced analytics is a plus.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
MUST have EXCELLENT communication skills, Romanian and English.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
• 3-5 years experience as a DBA experience
with SQL Server (2000,2005, 2008) and full lifecycle development of complex system and application software
•Experience with writing, debugging, and optimizing complex stored procedures for mission critical applications
•Expertise with T-SQL, DTS / SSIS programming
•Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems with minimal supervision
•Expertise in database backups, tuning, performance and optimization with large databases
•Physical data modeling experience with Erwin, Visio, dimensional modeling and data structures flattening/denormalizing for OLAP reporting.
•Windows 2003/2008 server and SQL Server administration/management/security skills.
RESPONSABILITATI / BENEFICII:
• Responsible for database administration, security, backups, tuning-performance-optimization and maintenance of SQL based data repositories.
• Communicate effectively with end users, peers, and management regarding assignments, and must have a can-do attitude and a desire to provide solutions
• Administration and management of the production/testing/development w2k3/8 windows servers (application, database and web servers).
• Work directly with Modelers/Architects/ETL Developers on data modeling, logical/physical schema design, SQL query tuning; and the application of data-related business rules while assisting in troubleshooting, debugging, and issue resolution
• Meet deadlines and posses a proven record of successful project execution and delivery. |
